Concert for Nature

The Alachua Consort will present a Concert for Nature at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, Florida on Sunday, May 22 at 4pm.

The ensemble will perform music from the Baroque era through the present, including compositions by Mark O’Connor, Jacob van Eyck, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Jean Baptiste Lully, and Benedetto Marcello.

Admission is free; donations are welcome to Westminster Presbyterian Church.

First Event of New 2015-2016 Concert Series

On Sunday, September 20, 2015, 4:00 pm, the Alachua Consort, John Netardus – oboe, Annemieke Pronker-Coron – violin, and Miriam Zach – organ, will present the first concert “In the Wood” in their Early Music Series 2015-2016 at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 4315 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, Florida. The ensemble will perform Baroque music including works from France, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden by Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Friedrich Fasch, Mogens Pederson, and Johan Helmich Roman. Admission is free; donations are welcome to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.

The Alachua Consort In Nature 2015-2016 series continues at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church with “On the Wing” on November 15, 2015 at 4:00pm, and “At the Height” on January 24, 2016 at 4:00pm.
