On Sunday, November 15, 2015, 4:00 pm, the Alachua Consort, John Netardus – oboe, Annemieke Pronker-Coron – violin, and Miriam Zach – organ, will present the second concert “On the Wing” in their Early Music Series 2015-2016 at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 4315 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, Florida. The ensemble will perform Renaissance and Baroque music focusing on the theme of birds. Included are compositions by Caterina Assandra, William Byrd, Louis- Claude Daquin, Jacob van Eyck, Orlando Gibbons, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Johann Hermann Schein, Johann Christoph Vogel, and John Weldon. Admission is free; donations are welcome to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. The Alachua Consort In Nature 2015-2016 series continues at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church with“At the Height”on January 24, 2016 at 4:00pm.
